Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 5, 2026
Raenow exists to give you a clear head. That only works if you can trust the app with your tasks — so this policy is written to be read, not scrolled past. The short version: your data stays in the EU, we don't sell it, we don't run ads, and you can delete everything yourself at any time.
Who we are
Raenow is made by Dave Lowney, trading as Stillfire, a sole trader registered in Ireland. For anything in this policy, Dave is the data controller. You can reach him directly at dave@raenow.app.
What we collect, and why
Your account
You sign in with Google. From that we receive your email address, name, and profile picture. We use these to create your account, keep your data yours, and contact you about the service if we need to. We never see your Google password.
Your tasks and setup
Everything you put into Raenow — task titles, notes, projects, and the dependencies you configure (time windows, saved locations, devices) — is stored so the app can do its job. This is your content. We only access it to run the service, or to investigate a problem you've asked us to look at.
Your live location
Location-based filtering works by comparing your current position against locations you saved. That comparison happens on your device. Your live GPS position is never sent to or stored on our servers — only the saved locations you created are stored, because they're part of your setup.
Device identifier
Raenow generates a random identifier stored in your browser so device-based filtering can tell your phone from your computer. It's random — not your hardware ID, not an advertising ID, and not shared with anyone.
Usage analytics
We use PostHog (hosted in the EU) to understand how Raenow is used and to find bugs. We track specific in-app events (like "task created"), not everything you do. We also use session replay to watch how the interface behaves — with your task titles, notes, and all typed input masked before it leaves your device, so recordings show the interface working, not your content.
Waitlist and email
If you join the waitlist on raenow.app, we store your email address in Loops to send you updates about Raenow. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you.
What we don't collect
No payment details (Raenow doesn't charge yet — this policy will be updated before that changes). No advertising trackers. No data purchased from or sold to anyone.
Where your data lives
Your account and task data are stored with Supabase in Ireland (AWS eu-west-1). Analytics data is stored with PostHog in the EU. The app itself is delivered by Vercel, and sign-in is handled by Google — both US companies that safeguard EU data transfers under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
Who else touches your data
Only the services that run Raenow, acting on our instructions:
| Service | What it does | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database and authentication — stores your account and tasks | EU (Ireland) |
| Sign-in | US, with EU transfer safeguards | |
| Vercel | Hosts and delivers the app and website | US, with EU transfer safeguards |
| PostHog | Usage analytics and session replay | EU |
| Loops | Waitlist and email updates | US, with EU transfer safeguards |
| Hostinger | Runs our @raenow.app email | EU |
We never sell your data or share it with advertisers. We would disclose data if legally required to — that has never happened.
Our legal grounds (GDPR)
- Contract — storing your account and tasks is necessary to provide the app you signed up for.
- Legitimate interest — understanding usage and fixing bugs so Raenow improves.
- Consent — waitlist emails, and any future optional features that need it. You can withdraw consent at any time.
How long we keep things
- Account and task data — for as long as you have an account. Delete your account and it's gone.
- Session replay recordings — automatically deleted after 30 days.
- Analytics events — kept in aggregate to understand long-term usage; not used to profile you individually.
- Waitlist emails — until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.
Your rights
Under GDPR you can access, correct, export, or delete your data, restrict or object to how we process it, and withdraw consent at any time.
The most important one is built in: you can delete your account and all your data yourself, inside the app — no email required, no waiting period. For anything else, write to dave@raenow.app and you'll get a response within 30 days.
If you believe we've handled your data wrongly, you have the right to complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission or your local supervisory authority.
Children
Raenow is not directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
When Raenow gains features that change what we collect — payments, for instance — we'll update this page and note the date above. Material changes will be communicated in the app or by email.
